MAA Life Member Registration Guideline

Eligibility for Life Membership - Marketing Alumni Association (MAA), Department of Marketing, University of Dhaka

Only the alumni of the Department of Marketing, University of Dhaka are eligible to register as “Life Members” of the Marketing Alumni Association (MAA). It is important to note that not all graduates of the department are automatically Life Members—membership requires formal registration through the association.

Who Can Become a Life Member?

Any individual—regardless of age, gender, or religion—who has obtained any of the following degrees from the Department of Marketing, University of Dhaka is eligible to become a Life Member of the Association:

• B.Com (Hons.)
• M.Com
• BBA
• MBA
• EMBA
• MPM
• M. Phil
• Ph. D

Life Membership in MAA offers alumni a platform for professional networking, lifelong learning, and active participation in the advancement of the Marketing community both nationally and internationally.

Follow the steps below to become a proud Life Member of the Marketing Alumni Association (MAA):

1. Start Registration
   • Visit the Smart Life Member Portal (SLMP) on the MAA website.
   • Click on “New Life Member Registration” on the left menu bar or top capsule bar.
2. Confirm Eligibility
   • You will see a prompt:
     “If you are an Alumnus of the Department of Marketing, University of Dhaka, and not yet a life member ofMAA, click the link below to complete your registration.”
   • Click on the “Registration Form (non-life member)” link.
3. Agree to Terms & Conditions
   • Carefully read and agree to the Terms & Conditions to proceed.
4. Fill in Required Information
   • Provide all mandatory personal and academic details as requested in the form.
5. Upload Required Documents
   • Recent Passport-Size Photograph (jpg/jpeg/png)
   • Academic Certificate – as proof of graduation from the Department of Marketing, DU.
6. Payment Process
   • Once the form is completed:
   • You may choose to make the payment immediately, or
   • Select “Save & Pay Later” to complete the payment at your convenience (your data will be securely saved).
7. Membership Fee
   • The Life Membership Fee is BDT 2,000 (one-time payment).
   • A BDT 50 Convenience Fee will be added for payments made via Bkash or online.
8. Auto Approval
   • Your application will be automatically approved once:
   • All information is properly filled in
   • Payment is successfully confirmed by the financial system
9. Confirmation
   • You will receive a confirmation email containing:
   • Your Life Membership Number
   • A digital money receipt
10. Inclusion in Member Directory
    • After successful registration, your information will be added to the MAA Life Member Database and will appear in the MAA Life Member Directory.
